Excellent Service Award (EXSA) – Hospitality Sector

About EXSA
Launched in 1994, the Excellent Service Award (EXSA) is a national award that recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service. EXSA aims to:

  • Develop service role models for staff to emulate
  • Create service champions in the industry
  • Inspire service staff to scale new heights
  • Recognize and professionalize service excellence

The Singapore Hotel Association is one of the six industry lead bodies managing EXSA, with the support of Enterprise Singapore. Nominees for the EXSA award are required to attend a 4-hour EXSA development workshop.

To be an EXSA winner, participants must have at least one year of service with the nominating organization, meet the criteria of an award category and attend the development workshop.

• Received at least 1 service-related award during qualifying period


• Received at least 5 compliments during qualifying period
• Received at least 2 service-related awards in the last 3 years
• Made suggestions that contributed to service improvements during the qualifying period
